SİTAŞ

Sivas Concrete Sleeper Production Industry and Trade Corp., (SİTAŞ) was built under the guidance of TCDD in 2011 as a result of the efforts to build concrete sleeper factories with high capacity and technology for the domestic production of sleepers required by contemporary railways. The construction of the production facility, which was built upon an indoor area of 5.000 m2 inside a space of 20.000 m2 rented out to SİTAŞ by TCDD has been completed in June 2012, followed by test productions.

SİTAŞ produces B70 type (60-track) and B70 prestressed concrete sleepers that can be modified upon customer demands. SİTAŞ has begun producing concrete sleepers with 97,10% domestic production, which increased day by day up to 100% today.
